Wilderness Therapy for At-Risk Youth
This project supports teenagers facing some of life’s most difficult challenges, offering them a second chance when other solutions have often failed. Through wilderness therapy and outdoor expeditions, participants develop resilience, self-confidence, and the tools needed to build a different future. For many of these young people, Nirim is more than a program, it is an opportunity to rewrite the story of their lives and rediscover their place in society.

The charity behind this project
Nirim is a youth village in northern Israel dedicated to supporting teenagers facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
Founded in memory of Navy Seals Sergeant First Class Nir Krichman, Nirim combines education, community living, and therapeutic programs to help young people build a brighter future.
One of the village’s signature approaches is wilderness therapy, which uses outdoor expeditions and challenging experiences in nature to help participants develop resilience, responsibility, and the tools needed to transform their lives.
