Surf Therapy for At-Risk Youth

This project helps at-risk youth build confidence, resilience, and life skills through the transformative experience of surfing. As they learn to navigate the waves, participants also learn to overcome challenges, trust themselves, and discover strengths they may never have realized they had. For many young people, the journey extends far beyond the sea — giving them the tools, confidence, and sense of purpose needed to succeed in life.

The charity behind this project

HaGal Sheli (“My Wave”) was established to create meaningful opportunities for young people to succeed through the transformative power of the sea.

The organization operates educational and therapeutic surfing programs for at-risk youth, trauma survivors, and individuals with disabilities from across Israeli society.

By combining personal challenge, mentorship, and skill development, HaGal Sheli helps participants build resilience, self-confidence, and a belief in their ability to overcome obstacles — both in the water and in life.
