Every month, SMILE volunteers visit a pediatric ward in a different hospital across Israel, bringing age-appropriate toys and gifts to hospitalized children. These small surprises offer a welcome break from treatments and hospital routines, creating a moment of joy, distraction, and normal childhood when it is needed most.

The story behind the project
This project is run directly by SMILE and has been bringing moments of joy to hospitalized children for many years. Each month, our volunteers visit a different pediatric ward, bringing carefully selected gifts for children of different ages.
The idea is simple: hospital stays can be long and difficult, especially for a child. A surprise gift cannot change what they are going through, but it can change a moment of their day, bringing excitement, distraction, and a much-needed smile.
