The story behind the project
This project is run by SMILE to support women escaping domestic violence in Israel. Women entering shelters have often had to leave their homes suddenly, sometimes without luggage or even basic personal belongings. While shelters provide safety, emotional support and essential services, SMILE focuses on one immediate and practical need: making sure each woman has access to basic hygiene and personal care essentials from the moment she arrives.
Each bag contains 20 essential items, including: Shampoo • Shower gel • Toothbrush & toothpaste • Deodorant • Sanitary products • Hairbrush • Body lotion • Personal care essentials. Each bag is worth approximately ₪300.
