Rescue an animal in the Starting over farm
The Starting Over Sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates animals, mainly horses and donkeys that have been abused or neglected. It has been established in 2017 and is currently the largest farm in Israel. More than 1,000 animals found a place of refuge and got to start over. Almost 600 of them are donkey.
Most of them are victims of abuse, exploitation or neglect. Donkeys, horses, goats, sheep, cats, chickens and ducks, and even two pigs that were rescued from an experimental laboratory – they all got a chance to start over. A majority of the animals arrive at the farm when they are thin, injured, disabled, but most of all, terrified – all because of human action. In the shelter, they undergo physical and emotional rehabilitation, receive dedicated and professional medical care, food, protection and freedom, and above all, lots of love.
The organisation exists solely from donations and with the help of many volunteers.
