Dan Wajdenbaum was full of life, driven by a passion for helping others heal. He had planned to begin his studies in physiotherapy in September 2024 — a dream tragically cut short when he fell in combat while serving his country. In his memory, Dan’s parents decided to fund and launch the construction of a rehabilitation sports gym at Beit Loewenstein Rehabilitation Hospital in Raanana — one of Israel’s leading facilities for physical rehabilitation. This space will allow patients to regain strength, mobility, and confidence through tailored physical activity. The rehabilitation gym will be open to all patients in the hospital. Due to the war, there has been a sharp increase in young injured patients, including soldiers, who urgently need high-quality physical rehabilitation. This new facility will offer them a space adapted to their needs — supporting their recovery with dignity and purpose. This project is more than bricks and equipment — it’s a living tribute to Dan. Through every step taken and every patient who regains their strength, his legacy will live on.
